The organization, which has no economic purposes, contributes to the development of communities and regions strategic for AMAGGI. Through its work, it aims to strengthen the role of young people and leaders for local sustainable development.
There were 110 young people enrolled in the workshops held in Rondonópolis-MT and Cuiabá-MT. Record participation in the ‘Transformar’ Project (Transform), with the selection of 300 people who work in social organizations for online training, and nine social organizations awarded by the André and Lucia Maggi Foundation Awards, which featured virtual voting and live streaming via Facebook, for all of Brazil.
In Itacoatiara (AM), the free social and cultural activities promoted by the Foundation, in the Velha Serpa Cultural Center’s Collective Space, gathered more than 1,200 people throughout the year.
Another highlight was the support in the construction of the Municipal Plan for Family Farming and Indigenous Peoples in Querência (PMAFI), as one of the results from actions developed by the ‘Potencializa’ project (Strengthen) groups in Querência (MT).
New horizons
2018 was also a year of great planning, challenges and building new perspectives, with the aim of making the Foundation’s work increasingly strategic. Thus, a new strategic planning was prepared, accompanied by a portfolio of operations, which is being started in 2019 and with a view to 2025. A great work, involving the Foundation’s team, external partners, and AMAGGI.
