The André and Lucia Maggi Foundation extended to November 20 the enrollment for the Emergency Incentive, aimed at formalized social organizations and initiatives formed by volunteers, who are acting with direct actions, in face of the pandemic, with the most vulnerable audiences in the areas of health, education or social protection in the states of Mato Grosso, Amazonas and Rondônia. In addition to financial resources, the Foundation will offer a series of incentives to support organizations and initiatives in this time of crisis. Registrations can be made through the website https://www.fundacaoandreeluciamaggi.org.br/incentivo.
Who can participate?
Social organizations (legal entities with no economic purposes), such as associations, social cooperatives or non-governmental organizations, can apply. Another type of registration is aimed at people who take part in a social initiative (individuals), such as, e.g., people who work in groups of volunteers, community leaders or social movements.
What incentives are offered?
In addition to financial resources (up to BRL 10,000 for social organizations and up to BRL 5,000 for social initiatives), the Foundation will also offer a series of incentives such as training on digital fundraising, online meetings to promote work in network, online training for those not classified, and the Virtual Showcase, where organizations and initiatives will have their causes publicized so that they can raise funds for donations and increase visibility.
“The resource can be used to pay fixed expenses and for direct activities to minimize the impacts of COVID-19 on the most vulnerable audiences”, explains the Foundation’s Project coordinator, Lorraine Souza.
What are the areas of expertise?
The Emergency Incentive includes actions and projects developed in the areas of education, such as distance learning and educational activities; employability and professional education and income generation for vulnerable populations, among others. In the health area, the projects can focus on physical, mental and emotional health, diagnosis and Coronavirus prevention, among others. In the area of social protection, the incentive wants to support projects that work in the prevention and reduction of domestic violence, assistance to communities and people in social vulnerability, among others.
