The André and Lucia Maggi Foundation, will encourage, through Incentives, social projects and initiatives aimed at the social prominence of youngsters and local leaders, prevention of the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents and the availability of essential services in health, education, or the development of a sustainable community.
These are aimed exclusively at the municipalities of Rondonópolis (MT), Porto Velho (RO), Itacoatiara (AM) and the district of Espigão do Leste (MT), and for projects whose members took part in 100% of the Online Training classes: Elaboration and Project Management, promoted by the Foundation in early November.
These locations were defined by AMAGGI and the Foundation as a priority and long-term activity, aiming at strengthening local networks that can contribute to collective actions with a view to local development.
This work began in 2019, with the first two stages of the project (entry and central theme validation) to understand the priorities of each region and develop an action plan. The themes chosen by the community were, in Itacoatiara (AM) and Porto Velho (RO), youth prominence and career, with the transversal theme of combating the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, and in Espigão do Leste (MT), the chosen theme was availability of essential services. Now, the notices aim to encourage proposals built by the local network formed in each municipality, following the themes defined.
In Rondonópolis (MT), this work is part of the Foundation’s new strategy for actions in the city, with the objective of strengthening social organizations that work with youngsters, so that they can provide care and promote social prominence in their communities.
In addition to financial resources, the Foundation will offer a series of incentives to support organizations and initiatives, which will also be able to take part in the Virtual Showcase, where their causes will be disclosed so that they can raise funds for donations and increase visibility.
